The aim of the NEXUS Collective is to provide an open platform for young creatives from diverse disciplines to connect and learn from one another. Through transdisciplinary collaboration, both on individual projects and long-term initiatives, a wide variety of projects can emerge. As a collective, we continuously learn and evolve through our exchange with each other.
This website is developing organically into a living archive and a space for sharing ideas and creative impulses. With a transdisciplinary and holistic approach, it seeks to provide diverse insights into key cultural, social, and ecological issues of our time, and to spark unexpected connections between topics, ideas, and practices.

In collaboration with plankton Gemüsekooperative x Tinguely Museum
In the late August sun, the vegetable cooperative plankton and the NEXUS Collective invited visitors out to the fields as part of Angelica Mesiti’s exhibition Reverb at the Tinguely Museum in Basel. The Bäumlihof in Riehen, Basel, is where plankton grows vegetables, which are available via subscription as vegetable baskets for residents of Basel and the surrounding area and delivered by volunteers from the vegetable cooperative.
While for many, the weekly vegetable delivery has become almost as commonplace as the vegetables on supermarket shelves, we—inspired by Angelica Mesiti’s perspective—wanted to draw attention to the forces and rituals that make this possible.
Together, we explored the concept of locality;
locality is not a fixed characteristic of a place. It arises from relationships between people, soil, plants, animals, and the rhythms of the seasons and is constantly renegotiated in light of ecological, social, and cultural changes.
